Texas Hold’em Poker Rules
Objective: The aim is to create the best five-card poker hand from any combination of the two hole cards dealt to you face down and the five community cards dealt face up.
Gameplay:
- Blinds: The game begins with the two players to the left of the dealer placing the small blind and big blind.
- Hole Cards: Each player is dealt two private cards (hole cards).
- The Flop: Three community cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table.
- The Turn: A fourth community card is dealt face up on the table.
- The River: A fifth and final community card is dealt face up on the table.
- Betting Rounds: There are four betting rounds – one after the hole cards are dealt, one after the flop, one after the turn, and one after the river.
- Showdown: If two or more players remain after the final betting round, a showdown occurs. Players reveal their cards, and the player with the best five-card hand wins the pot.
